Canada Visa Application Centers were created to assist clients with the paperwork for their applications to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada offices around the world, for all categories of temporary residents (visitor visas, study and work permits) as well as applications for travel documents.

Can I make an emergency appointment?

If you urgently need to make an appointment to register your biometric data, the criteria are as follows:
Applicants requesting an emergency appointment to have their biometrics registered must provide proof of emergency (see below) when reporting for their appointment at the VAC
An emergency biometrics appointment does not impact application processing times or the outcome of the application.
Please note that you cannot use the online appointment booking system for emergency biometrics appointments. To schedule an emergency biometric appointment, please contact the CVAC Help Center or come to the CVAC in person.
You can submit your application at the Canada Visa Application Center. It is also possible to apply to IRCC through the IRCC online application system (electronic applications).

Can my application be submitted by another person?

Do I have to go there to give my fingerprints and take a photo each time I apply?

If you are applying for a temporary resident visa, study permit and/or work permit and need to provide biometrics, you only need to provide your biometrics once every 10 years .

If you are applying for permanent residence and need to provide biometrics, you will need to do so each time you apply.

Once my biometric data is registered, how long will my fingerprints be valid?

Your fingerprints will also be permanently erased if you obtain Canadian citizenship during this 10-year periodPlease note that the applicant’s personal information will be collected by VFS Global for the sole purpose of scheduling an appointment. In this regard, the applicant must provide a consent form.

How do I pay the Canada Visa Application Center Service Fee?

You will also receive a notification via the online request tracking system when your request is ready for collection. Your request will then be returned to you, in accordance with the method you have chosen.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada may call you for an interview at the visa office. The Visa Application Center will contact you, or you may be contacted directly by the visa office, and you will also be notified through a notification on the online application tracking system.
